Application
Trifluoroacetic acid is used in the synthesis of fluorinated compounds and dyes. It is a catalyst for esterification and condensation reactions; a protective agent for hydroxyl and amino groups, used in the synthesis of sugars and polypeptides. It is also used as a beneficiation agent for organic synthesis.
