Low-substituted Hydroxypropyl Cellulose is ranked as the first choice of tablet disintegrant. As its powder has a larger surface area and porosity, L-HPC can improve the hardness and the degree of finish of tablets, accelerate their moisture-absorption to facilitate their disintegration, promote medicine dissolution and enhance biological utilization ratio. L-HPC also has good anti-capping effect for tableting process. Under long-term storage, L-HPC’s disintegrability can remains unchanged.
